Finally, together with the mitochondrial compartment, the N-oligosaccharyltransferase genes are associated with such important genes as CLN3 and SLC25A22, responsible for the formation and transport of endosomes and glutamate, a major excitatory neurotransmitter [32,33,34,35] directly involved in epilepsy pathogenesis. Here, SLC25A22 is linked to epilepsy.
