Likewise, other overexpressed genes in breast carcinoma samples related to EMT are SFRP2 [32,33,34], which modulates Wnt signaling, a pathway highly enriched in ontologies that act on EMT, among other tumor development processes [34]; and CDH12 [35,36], which encodes a type 2 N-cadherin from the family of proteins responsible for calcium-mediated cell adhesion. This evidence concerns the gene SFRP2 and breast carcinoma.
