Tea polyphenols significantly reduced pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-12) and increased anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages and a DSS-induced colitis mouse model, with anti-inflammatory effects that modulated anxiety-like behaviour and improved sleep [110]. This evidence concerns the gene IL10 and colitis.
