Identification of potential targets for selected miRNAs showed that miR-21-3p could affect numerous genes but some of them were predominantly associated with cancer homeostasis, such as DNA damage-regulated autophagy modulator 1 (DRAM1), DNA damage-inducible transcript 4-like (DDIT4L) and p53 and DNA damage-regulated 1 (PDRG1). The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is cancer.
