However, the occurrence of mutations and polymorphisms of genes playing an essential role in the process of carcinogenesis in the lungs and other sites, as shown in the current literature, such as EGFR, ALK, TP53, BRCA1/2, YAP1 [24,25,26], seems to make the coexistence of the other cancers in this group of patients less unexpected.
