The ERK1/2 pathway was also involved in pancreatic cancer, gynaecological cancers, and HNSCC, where Trop-2 expression increases the phosphorylation of ERK1/2 leading to the activation of the ERK/MAPK pathway, increasing the levels of cyclin D1 and cyclin E that resulted in a cell cycle dysregulation [5,32,42]. Here, MAPK3 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
