Tumor cells with REV7 deficiency exhibited enhanced sensitivity to cisplatin in a mouse model of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), in which cellular senescence, but not apoptotic cell death, was induced by DNA damage, showing a flattened, vacuolized cell morphology and induction of senescence-associated β-galactosidase [104]. This evidence concerns the gene MAD2L2 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
