A phase 2 study of T-VEC in combination with PD-1 inhibitor nivolumab and chemotherapeutic agent trabectedin enrolled 36 evaluable STS patients and observed a median PFS of 5.5 months and a disease control rate of 86.1%, suggesting that combinatorial therapy of T-VEC with immune checkpoint inhibitors and/or chemotherapy can result in better outcomes [81]. This evidence concerns the gene PDCD1 and telomere syndrome.
