Among 1139 evaluable invasive breast carcinomas of NST, low or absent mammaglobin-A immunostaining was linked to a high BRE grade (p = 0.0011; Table 2), loss of estrogen receptor and progesterone receptor expression, and triple-negative status (p < 0.0001 each) but not to overall survival (Figure 4). This evidence concerns the gene ESR1 and invasive breast carcinoma.
