We have shown that mice with a germline disruption of the Cdkn2a gene (Cdkn2a−/−) fed a high-fat diet are protected against diet induced obesity (DIO) by increasing thermogenesis via inguinal (ing) WAT beiging, resulting in improved insulin sensitivity associated with the activation of the PKA pathway [16]. The gene discussed is CDKN2A; the disease is obesity disorder.
