ACE2 and lung cancer: Studies on SARS-CoV-2-infected A549-ACE2 cells in the presence of the specific SIRT5 inhibitor 8d revealed a two-fold reduction in viral mRNA and a four-fold reduction in viral titers, whereas experiments on Calu-3 human lung cancer cells expressing ACE2 reported a two-fold reduction in both viral mRNA and viral titers.
