The programmed death 1 (PD1) inhibitors pembrolizumab and nivolumab are the main inhibitors used, as well as anti-cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4) antibodies in combination with nivolumab, in accordance with the Slovenian national guidelines and in line with the international guidelines of the European Society for Medical Oncology and National Comprehensive Cancer Network for the treatment of melanoma [3,4,5]. This evidence concerns the gene CTLA4 and melanoma.
