In another study [112], 10 of the 56 breast cancer patients treated with DOX chemotherapy experienced cardiotoxicity, and LVEF decreased from 67.2 ± 1.0 (baseline) to 58.8 ± 2.7 (12 months; p = 0.005), although there were no differences in the plasma cardiac troponin I (cTnI) levels between the cardiotoxic and non-cardiotoxic patients.
