QRSL1 and myeloid leukemia: We recently made use of this approach to find novel oncometabolites and biomarkers connected to the expression of different isoforms of the transcriptional factor GATA-1 in the myeloid leukemia K562 cell line, namely GATA-1FL (GATA-1FL cells) or GATA-1S (GATA-1S cells), respectively, two GATA-1 isoforms that play opposite roles in the differentiation and proliferation processes of several hematopoietic lineages.
