Recently, our group showed that sCD163 was associated with liver disease severity, for example, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and with long-term risk of liver-related events in PBC patients.23 However, before-and-after treatment levels of sCD163 were not investigated, and reported levels of sCD163 were not separated according to the time-point in the disease (“prevalent” or “incident”). The gene discussed is CD163; the disease is liver disorder.
