An aberrant expression of GMRGs, such as GS, GLS, and glutamine transporter, was significantly associated with the prognosis in various cancers including breast cancer (34), hepatocellular carcinoma (35–37), ovarian cancer (38, 39), adrenal cortical neoplasms (40), lung squamous cell carcinoma (41), and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (42). The gene discussed is GLS; the disease is cancer.
