The results of the multi-center clinical trial CHANCE-2 (ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT04078737) showed that in Chinese patients with mild ischemic stroke or TIA carrying the CYP2C19 loss-of-function allele, the ticagrelor (+aspirin) has a modestly lower 90-day stroke risk than clopidogrel (+aspirin) with no significant increase in the risk of moderate to severe intracranial bleeding (36). Here, CYP2C19 is linked to Stroke.
