Multivariate analysis of all the above potential factors identified only sarcopenia [hazard ratio (HR): 2.187, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.230–3.891, p = 0.008; Table 2] and albumin [hazard ratio (HR): 0.921, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.860–0.987, p = 0.019; Table 2] as strong independent predictors of OS. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and sarcopenia.
