GOT2 and cancer: While downregulation of other fatty acid transporters, such as FATP1 and FATP4, did not improve the sensitivity of ACM-treated cells to OV infection in our models (Supplementary Figures 7A, B), there are many other membrane-associated putative fatty acid carriers that display increased expression in cancer cells, including FATPs other than FATP2, the fatty acid translocase CD36 and fatty acid binding proteins (FABPs) (59–61).
