Interleukin 1 beta (IL1B), an important cytokine in the inflammatory response and a vital mediator of cell pyroptosis and apoptosis (8), has been actively investigated in various types of squamous carcinomas, including lung squamous cell carcinoma (9), cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (10), and esophageal carcinoma (11), but especially oral squamous cell carcinoma (12). This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.
