To confirm the relevance of THBS2 as a functional regulator of tumor progression rather than an incidentally upregulated target, an RNA-seq analysis of GC cells overexpressing this gene was conducted, revealing that increased THBS2 expression was associated with enhanced TNF and NF-kB signaling pathway activity, in addition to being related to the transcriptional misregulation in cancer pathway. Here, NFKB1 is linked to neoplasm.
