Lastly, the effects of WED on LPS-induced inflammationand oxidative stress were investigated in Ephx2+/+ and Ephx2–/–mice.sEH genetic deletion led to a decrease in TNF-α positive cells(Figure 11A) and inlevels of COX-2; phosphorylated p65; and the NF-κB target genes COX-2, IL-6, iNOS, TNF-α, and ICAM-1 in comparison withthe LPS-induced ALI Ephx2+/+ mice (Figures 11B,C and S16A). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and acute respiratory distress syndrome.
