S100A8/A9 released by cancer cells and tissues interacts with Toll‐like receptor 4 and Receptor for Advanced Glycation End (RAGE) products to direct chemotaxis of myeloid cells and induces proinflammatory responses and/or immune suppressions by activating JAK–STAT, NF‐κB, and MAPK pathways. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and cancer.
