Both PHQ-9 and GAD-7 total scores showed a significantly decreasing trend over time in participants with a diagnosis of mood (affective) disorders (PHQ-9: β= − 1.7, 95% CI (− 2.5, − 1.0); GAD-7: β= − 1.6, 95% CI (− 2.3, − 1.0)) and neurotic, stress-related and somatoform disorders (PHQ-9: β= − 1.5, 95% CI (− 2.1, − 0.99); GAD-7: β= − 1.8, 95% CI (− 2.3, − 1.2)). This evidence concerns the gene GAD1 and somatoform disorder.
