It was reported that GBM-EVs secreted by glioma model cell line GL26 promote the growth of implanted tumor and inhibited cytotoxic activity of CD8+ T cells both in vitro and in vivo. Also, they negatively affected the proportion and number of splenic CD8+ cells, this effect was accompanied by decreased secretion of IFN-γ and granzyme B. Authors of this study suggest involvement of Fas/FasL in induction of apoptosis in T cells in vitro and in vivo (Liu et al., 2013). Here, CD8A is linked to glioma.
