Interestingly, this model also aggregates the glioma cases by sub-type, with glioblastomas having high GFAP, meningiomas having low GFAP and high FABP4 [9, 10], while anaplastic astrocytomas and oligodendrogliomas display both low FABP4 and low GFAP (Fig. 4A). The gene discussed is FABP4; the disease is anaplastic astrocytoma.
