The procalcitonin to albumin ratio (PAR) is a new inflammatory index determined by dividing procalcitonin level to albumin level, and recent studies have reported that the PAR is a reliable indicator for the diagnosis and severity estimation of infectious diseases such as urosepsis and nosocomial bloodstream infection.11,12 However, until now, there is no study investigating the usefulness of the PAR in the assessment of COVID-19 severity.
