Typhimurium has been used to deliver via T3SS the NY-ESO-1 tumor antigen for sarcoma, the tyrosinase-related protein 2 (TRP2) for melanoma, survivin for colon carcinoma and glioblastoma and hepatitis B virus x (HBx) for hepatocellular carcinoma (Nishikawa et al., 2006; Wang et al., 2008; Xiong et al., 2010; Zhu et al., 2010). The gene discussed is DCT; the disease is melanoma.
