Induction of PD using haloperidol resulted in a severe decline in TFs known to be involved in fibroblasts reprograming fibroblasts into functioning dopaminergic neurons; ASCL1, NURR1, LMX1, FOX A2, BRN2, and MiR‐124, motor neurons; ASCL1, BRN2, and MiR‐124, serotonergic neurons; ASCL1 and LMX1 as well as noradrenergic neurons; ASCL1 and NURR1, reflecting significant degeneration of diverse neuronal types. This evidence concerns the gene ASCL1 and Parkinson disease.
