To examine whether the regulation of the RHO GTPase pathways by RBFOX2 is critical for pancreatic cancer progression, we took advantage of two inhibitors of the RHO GTPase pathways: MBQ167, a dual RAC/CDC42 inhibitor33, and azathioprine, a blocker of RAC1 activity and other small GTPases of the RAS superfamily34,35. This evidence concerns the gene RBFOX2 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
