The use of biological therapies, for example tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α inhibitors and monoclonal anti-CD20 antibodies, is rapidly expanding as treatments of hematological and autoimmune diseases such as B-cell lymphomas, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel diseases, and multiple sclerosis [15, 16]. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
