When MET binds to its ligand human hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) in NSCLC, it can activate a variety of intracellular signaling pathways, such as PI3K-AKT, RAS-MAPK, and STAT3 pathways (38, 39), affecting the proliferation, survival, apoptosis, invasion, migration and angiogenesis of NSCLC cells (40). Here, MET is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
