Cancarini et al. found that high intake of thiamine was associated with a lower risk of breast cancer (RR = 0.61, 95%CI: 0.38–0.97) in a prospective cohort of 10,786 women followed for an average of 16.5 years, especially in estrogen receptor-negative and progesterone receptor-negative breast cancer (42). Here, PGR is linked to breast carcinoma.
