Furthermore, in our study, we focused on the inflammatory factor IL-19, and found that the expression levels of IL-19 was dramatically increased in the colon of the DSS/CUS model, which was matched to the finding that the expression of IL-19 mRNA in the colonic mucosa of patients with active IBD is increased (14), meanwhile, it was reported that DSS administration for five days revealed that the expression of IL-19 mRNA was induced in the distal colon in wild-type mice (38). Here, IL19 is linked to inflammatory bowel disease.
