GLP2, mainly secreted by ileal and colonic entero-endocrine cells, is known to exert a strong intestinal trophic effect (Jeppesen et al., 2000; Gillard et al., 2016) and GLP-2 analogs are currently used to treat SBS patients (Jeppesen et al., 2012; Jeppesen et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene GCG and macrothrombocytopenia and granulocyte inclusions with or without nephritis or sensorineural hearing loss.
