The results show that the observation group had significantly decreased values for biochemical indexes compared to the control group, as indicated by decreased levels of the renal function indexes blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine (Cr), the serum inflammatory factors IL-6 and TNF-α, and the tumor markers carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and carbohydrate antigen 50 (CA50) (t = 2.213, 2.490, 2.035, 2.500, 2.281, and 2.282, respectively, all P < 0.05, Table 1). The gene discussed is IL6; the disease is neoplasm.
