This allowed us to examine the relationship of IR and diabetic status to tau PET SUVR in a sample containing individuals who were in the early stages of the AD clinicopathologic continuum, thus extending results from previous studies that investigated the relationship of IR or diabetic status to NFTs in the post-mortem brain tissue of older adults with and without an antemortem dementia diagnosis [26–28].
