Compared to the normal population, PCOS patients had significantly higher levels of FINS, HOMA-IR, LDL, TG, apolipoprotein B (apoB), apoB/apoA1, and HCY, apoA1 was also significantly lower in PCOS patients, and the prevalence of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis was 3 times as high in PCOS patients as in the correct population (Table 1).
