NDFIP1 and cancer: As previously demonstrated, NDFIP1 participates in inflammatory, neurological, and autoimmune diseases (Howitt et al., 2009; Oliver et al., 2006; Wagle et al., 2018), but recently, the downregulation of NDFIP1 promotes proliferation, invasion, epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT), or glycolysis in several forms of cancer (Peng et al., 2017; Zhang et al., 2019; Ben et al., 2020).
