Results showed that three candidate genes were significantly related to the prognosis of CRC patients, two of which were upregulated, viz., AKT3 and TGFB1, and one which was downregulated, PLCB4. Among them, only AKT3 was regarded as a significantly deregulated gene in the original study of GSE42387. The gene discussed is TGFB1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
