Peyvandi et al. reported significantly lower levels of ADAMTS13 activity (12% vs. 41%, p = 0.007) and antigen (36 vs. 58%, p = 0.003) among patients with recurrent TTP compared to patients with no recurrence, and severely low ADAMTS13 levels (<10%) were associated with a higher risk of recurrence (OR: 2.9, 95% CI: 1.3–6.8, p = 0.01). Here, ADAMTS13 is linked to thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura.
