METTL1/WDR4 mediated m7G tRNA modification levels are increased in Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) and are linked to poor prognosis, this may be because that METTL1/WDR4-mediated m7G tRNA modification in a selective manner affect the translation of oncogenic mRNAs, which have a higher frequency of m7G-related codons in ICC, such as genes involved in cell cycle and EGFR signaling pathway58. Here, WDR4 is linked to intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
