The overlap of AD, PD, and TDP-43 pathology is remarkable in young MMC residents as it is extraordinarily similar to the mixed protein pathologies described in elderly demented patients diagnosed with AD, FTLD, LBD, PD, ALS, and cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA), white matter rarefaction (WMR) pathology, and in the younger than 60-year patients who are AD demented (25–34, 116–119). This evidence concerns the gene TARDBP and cerebral amyloid angiopathy.
