VEGFA and neoplasm: Apatinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, which acts on the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and VEGF receptor 2 (VEGFR-2) signaling pathways, inhibits the binding of VEGFR-2 to tyrosine kinase adenosine triphosphate, blocks the proliferation and migration of vascular endothelial cells, and ultimately prevents tumor blood vessels regeneration and reduces tumor recurrence.
