Of the 99 cases in the CE group, diagnostic work‐up included abdominal ultrasound in 79/99 (80%), intestinal biopsies in 29/99 (29%), basal cortisol in 52/99 (53%), specific canine pancreatic lipase in 20/99 (20%), fecal centrifugation and flotation in 17/99 (17%), and trypsin like immunoreactivity in 6/99 (6%) dogs.
