In TME, macrophages, known as tumor-associated macrophages (TAM), are among the most abundant immune cells, and the extent of M2-type TAM infiltration in tumor tissues is positively correlated with poor prognosis in various cancers and can induce immune tolerance during tumorigenesis and progression (Oya, Hayakawa & Koike, 2020; Rihawi et al., 2021; Gambardella et al., 2020), suggesting that COMMD10 promotes macrophage infiltration in the STAD TME and promotes tumor progression. The gene discussed is COMMD10; the disease is neoplasm.
