IL6 and serum lipopolysaccharide activity: Electrical DMN stimulation significantly reduced pro-inflammatory cytokine levels in the serum (TNF: p = 0.0012; IL-6: p = 0.427) and spleen (TNF: p = 0.0001; IL-6: p = 0.0077), as well as increasing the serum levels of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 (p = 0.0284) during endotoxemia.
