Furthermore, if we only considered the relationships between the survival rate and the 11 genes among these 24 genes with higher mutation frequencies in TCGA clinical cohorts, poor survival in EGFR-Mut patients (p < 0.05) but no significant difference in survival in EGFR-WT patients was found (Fig. 4C), implying that these genes might be involved in EGFR-mutation-mediated lung cancer progression. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and lung carcinoma.
