Compared with C-CM, R-CM significantly promoted fibroblast proliferation and activation, as indicated by increased cell number (Supplemental Figure 5, C and D) and elevated expression of FN and VIM in NRK-49F fibroblasts (Supplemental Figure 5, E–G), suggesting the paracrine effect of senescent tubular cells on renal fibroblasts in cisplatin-induced CKD.
