Our results also showed that ANGPTL2 enhances p65 phosphorylation and NF-κB luciferase activity, which was reduced by the integrin α5β1 siRNA and p38 inhibitor, indicating that integrin α5β1 receptor-dependent p38/NF-κB activation regulates ANGPTL2-induced mediation of VEGF-A expression and lymphangiogenesis in human lung cancer cells. The gene discussed is MAPK14; the disease is lung cancer.
